Background

An ads platform product manager came to our design team with the following opportunity space and requested ideas for a feature that could serve this user need for our demand-side platform (DSP) clients.

  1. Current planners in the platform only provided insights at a line level, not a campaign level.

For context, ad campaigns are comprised of one or more line items, each with a different targeting strategy.

  1. There are a multitude of disconnected planner tools on our platform that provide little actionability.

  1. Lots of manual busywork involved in the current pre-campaign planning process.

I and one other designer worked together to do some preliminary research, come up with a feature proposal, and draft a storyboard and pitch deck to present our idea to director-level leadership.

Ultimately, the feature was not resourced, but the ideas from this pitch deck went on to form the foundation of other work you can see in my portfolio.

About this Case Study

Months of research and design iteration went into the design process for this pitch deck.
However, I think other case studies in my portfolio do a better job of showcasing those steps.

Ultimately, I've omitted these steps from the case study and will display only the final pitch deck below.

Scenario C

Past this point it's more of the same. I'll include just the storyboard slides for Scenario C and omit the low-fidelity mocks for brevity.
